Calling all Beat dancers!
Perform with us in the Bowling Green Holiday Parade!
Parade dancers must be age 5 and up with the focus and stamina to last through the entire parade route. Mandatory rehearsals will be held in the orange studio on Saturday November 9th from 10-11:30 a.m., and on Sunday November 17th from 3-4 p.m.. All marching dancers must attend at least one rehearsal. The parade will be held in downtown BG the morning of Saturday November 23rd. Dress code for dancers is tennis shoes, black bottoms- yoga pants, leggings, or sweats, with Beat gear on top- either the pink zip jacket or one of our pullover hoodies. Please layer over other Beat gear and dress for the weather with hats, gloves, etc.. All accessories must be pink, green, or orange!
Parents- we need YOUR help to make this parade a success. Please sign up at the studio if you would like to contribute. Thank you in advance!
In other news...
November is customer appreciation month at the studio. We would like to say THANK YOU to all of our loyal dance families for choosing to study with us. Each family is welcome to pick up a small gift in the office- a reusable BDC grocery bag. Rumor has it that some bags will be stuffed with extra prizes!
We had a BLAST during Halloween Week! Thanks to everyone who participated! Dancers- please plan ahead for our next theme week. Our final week of 2013 classes will be PAJAMA WEEK at The Beat. Please plan to wear your comfortable, danceable pj's to class December 16-19.
The staff and students of The Beat work together in an upbeat, inspiring environment where each dancer is challenged to achieve his or her personal best. We believe that everyone can (and should!) dance. Whether choosing one class per week in our recreational program, or studying multiple hours per day on our nationally-ranked Competition Company, each dancer is an important part of the BDC family. We strive to teach proper technique, performance quality, and a genuine apprecation for the art of dance.
The Beat Dance Company opened in the Bowling Green community in the summer of 2008. At the time of our first recital on June 9, 2009, we had just 59 students. We have since tripled our enrollment, teaching staff, and facility size. We attribute the growth and success of our studio to our talented, inspiring faculty and to all of our dedicated BDC dancers and families who have chosen to study with us. We know you have many options for your dance education, and we are so thankful that you have chosen The Beat!
